- TXB128 is an internal PCIe (1 SFF-8643 144pin) PCI Express x16 forked riser card. PCI Express forking means splitting the PCI Express bus into smaller multi-slots. For example, a x16 PCI-Express port can be split into four x4 PCI-Express ports. This can be achieved from the motherboard BIOS if you want to split an existing channel
- This adapter is designed for connecting high-performance 2.5" NVMe U.2 (SFF-8639) SSDs over SFF-8643 cables. U.2 SSDs can be loaded into backplates with SFF-8643 connectors that interface with the adapter, allowing U.2 SSD to be used like a drive cartridge
- High-performance storage connections with four internal NVMe (SFF-8643)
- Supports Intel-defined Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) clock pin output
- Supports 4 physical NVMe devices
- This converter does not require a driver
- Compatible with PCIe 3.0 and PCIe 2.0 motherboards
- Supports low profile/low profile mounting brackets
Note:
- The motherboard with CPU and BIOS needs to support bifurcation to ensure that the PCIe x16 link width reaches the bifurcated 4 x 4 NVMe SSD link width. If not, the TXB128 riser card only supports PCI x4 link width for a single NVMe device.
